I flew in from Nevada late last night and truth be told, it had slipped my mind that today was Memorial Day. I got up at the crack of ten o'clock, realized I had no coffee in the house, and proceeded to pile into the Official Vehicle of the ConBlog to procure some caffeine. Less than one tenth of a mile from my domicile, one of my town's police officers was in the middle of the street diverting traffic along a detour route.
