Obama's New "Drop A Dime" Program...

The Obama White House went on the offensive today against those who oppose the President's health care "reform" plan.

In a blog posting on the White House website titled "Facts are Stubborn Things,"  Linda Douglass (former ABC/CBS News journo and current Communications Director of the White House's Health Reform Office) calls those of us on the Right liars:

In that same blog posting, the Obama Administration authorizes and endorses a program for Americans to tattle on their neighbors who oppose health care "reform."

The following is a direct screen capture from the White House's blog:

The White House wants you to drop a dime on your neighbors and co-workers.  If you get something that opposes the grand Obama plan of universal health care for one and all, they want you to report it to them so they can keep track.

Douglass says that people are "taking sentences and phrases out of context, and they're cobbling them together to leave a very false impression."  Really?  Really, Ms. Douglass?  Is that the case?

What impression am I really supposed to draw when Obama says he's a "proponent of single-payer, universal health care plans," Hmmmmm?

What other meaning is there when he says that he doesn't want to "eliminate employer coverage immediately," but instead has an incremental time line of 10-20 years?

What is being "cobbled together," Ms. Douglass?

I'm supposed to just believe that Barack Obama doesn't want a single-payer system just because he said so last week?   Were we supposed to believe him then or believe him now?  Why is questioning the President and his plan now cause to be reported to the Federal Government?

I mean, look how well that worked out during the whole Red Scare/McCarthyism thing.

Regardless of how you feel about Universal Health Care in the United States, how is this acceptable to ANY American?

I can hear the Lefties now: "You right-wingers are blowing this out of proportion!  They didn't say to report on your neighbors and co-workers."

Really?  They said, "These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can't keep track of all of them here at the White House, we're asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

"Fishy?!?" You mean, aside from the whole Government Health Care Propaganda Bureau asking me to email them about emails and conversations I have?  When Bush had the White House for eight years, dissent was reportedly patriotic.  Now that Obama is President, dissent is supposed to be reported?

I know of something fishy, alright...and it's the Democrats' Health Care "Reform" Bill.  According to Adam Bitely from NetRightNation, I should report it--and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

"He is asking everyone to email this address with tips: flag@whitehouse.gov

Here is what we need to do. Email that address reporting Barack Obama for not telling the truth on Health Care.  Let's try and flood that inbox with as many reports about Obama and his minions attempting to deceive the public as possible."

Adam's right on the money.  The people not telling the truth about this "reform" plan are the Democrats in Washington, Barack Obama included.

The right to question and dissent from our Government is the right of a free people and something that is guaranteed to every single American.  Facts ARE stubborn things, Mr. President.  Perhaps you and Linda Douglass have forgotten this fact, but I have not.
