The roots of this disaster, as I've long suspected and and as someone who actually lost their home in this debacle, were planted long before George W. Bush took office. In fact, his administration attempted to deal with the problem not once...not twice...
Seventeen times. SEVENTEEN. At each turn he was shut down by the Democrats.
This was a time-bomb just waiting to go off.
