Legitimate?...

Pope Barack I was at a town hall meeting political rally in Florida today when he was heckled by a gentleman who didn't feel that the Messiah had done enough to speak out for the "African community" and the "black community."

Note: Please observe the conspicuous absence of the word "American" in the above paragraph.  Apparently there's a community in Africa that Pope Barack I is supposed to be talking about.  (When I find out which one it is, I'll absolutely let you know.)

Yet, I digress...

So, Mr. Heckler stands up and proceeds to give a piece of his mind to His Holy Hopefulness.  After chastising the hecklers to be courteous, he later takes a question from them in the same meeting:

Mr. Heckler: "So my question is...In the face of the numerous attacks that are made against the African community or the black community, by the same U.S. government that you aspire to lead--and we are talking about attacks like the sub-prime mortgage that you spoke of--it wasn't just a general ambiguous kind of phenomena, a phenomena that targeted the African community and Latino community, attacks like the killing of Sean Bell by the New York police department and right here in St. Petersburg by the St. Petersburg police, and Jena 6 and Hurricane Katrina, and the list goes on. In the face of all these attacks that are clearly being made on the African community, why is it that you have not had the ability to not one time speak to the interests and even speak on the behalf of the oppressed and exploited African community or black community in this country?

"...attacks that are clearly being made on the African community."

Attacks on the African community??  The sub-prime meltdown was an attack on the "African community?"  Pope Barack I calls this a "legitimate question??"

No, really, he did.  Check the video below...

(If you are unable to see the embedded video from MSNBC.com above, please click here.)

So, first he gets heckled. Then, he takes a question which is supposedly legimate.  After that, he stammers his way through a "non-answer answer" and suggests to Mr. Heckler that maybe he ought to run for office?

If this was supposed to display His Enlightened Changingness' ability to handle the crowd, it was a complete and utter disaster.

More importantly, Pope Barack I did absolutely nothing to negate the incorrect notion that the sub-prime meltdown affected more than just the "African community."

You know what, I just lost my house in the sub-prime mess.  I really did.  I had a 2/1 ARM that I didn't know was going to be a 2/1 ARM and, long story short, the bank foreclosed.  I moved out a month ago.  I know (and know of) plenty of people to whom this has also happened.

The sub-prime mortgage disaster didn't just affect the "African community" or the "Black community."  It affected the American community--families from all walks of life and of all ethnicities.  The fact that His Come Togetherness didn't immediately rebuke this heckler and set the record straight tells me something very critical about Barack Obama.

If Barack Obama couldn't stand up to this man--one idiot, conspiracy theorist heckler in a Florida gymnasium--then, who can he stand up to?
