Where the heck is "Fred!tm"???
The supposed Savior of conservatism in Washington has only been to New Hampshire twice and hasn't stepped foot in the state since September 9th. Most recently, he cancelled an appearance a week ago to aid Manchester mayor Frank Guinta's bid for re-election.
Thompson is now being accused of running an underwhelming campaign at best. As a result, he's starting to slip in some polls. Surprise, surprise...
The book on Thompson back before he even decided to get in the race was that he wasn't exactly "motivated" on the campaign trail. With the possibility of a mid-December primary in New Hampshire, that means there's less than sixty days left to campaign here.
This, potentially, could signal one of two things:
1. Fred Thompson really is a lazy campaigner and just can't be bothered to come to New Hampshire.
2. Fred Thompson isn't campaigning in New Hampshire because he's already written it off.
In other words, "Fred!tm" isn't in the Granite State because he doesn't care about campaigning if he's not going to win.
As December gets closer, Fred Thompson's highly conspicuous absence makes winning the New Hampshire Primary seem less likely every day.
