Freshman Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) attended a Town Hall meeting last night and warned about gas guzzling cars.
From WPSD:
...[Obama] says part of the blame for the world's higher temperatures rests on gas guzzling vehicles. Obama says consumers can make the difference by switching to higher mileage hybrids. Today the Senator said, "It would save more energy, do more for the environment and create better world security than all the drilling we could do in Alaska."
The best part? Obama left the event in a GMC Envoy.
An SUV.
The sheer hypocrisy of these greener-than-thou idiots is just ridiculous. In their minds, everyone else must change their way of life and adjust their thinking. The problem with Barack Obama and Al Gore and the rest of the left wing "doom and gloomers" is that they think they're better than everybody else.
**UPDATE (8/16/06 8:15am EDT)**
According to Drudge, Sen. Obama's press secretary says that the Senator uses a Flex Fuel Vehicle--one capable of running on e85--to travel.
The problem with that is that the GMC Envoy--the vehicle Obama left the Town Hall meeting in--can't use e85 because it's not compatible with that fuel type!
Lies, lies, lies...yeah.
