Who cares?
The Left has been abuzz with the fact that President Bush said "shit" in a private conversation with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The two were talking in what they assumed was a private conversation during a luncheon at the G8 summit and were apparently unaware that the microphone was live.
Yahoo! News | Bush curses Hezbollah on live microphone
Bush: She's going. I think Condi's going to go pretty soon.
Blair: Well that's all that matters. If you see, it will take some time to get out of there. But at least it gives people...
Bush: It's a process I agree. I told her your offer, too.
Blair: Well it's only or if she's gonna or if she needs the ground prepared as it were. See if she goes out, she's got to succeed as it were, where as I can just go out and talk.
Bush: See the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over.
Blair: Because I think this is all part of the same thing. What does he think? He thinks if Lebanon turns out fine, if he gets a solution in Israel and Palestine, Iraq goes in the right way, he's done it. That's what this whole things about. It's the same with Iran.
(In case you want to see the video for yourself and see how much of a non-issue this is, Expose the Left has the clip.)
I ask again---what's the big deal here? People--no--the Liberals act like this is such a shocking thing. Some have even suggested that maybe the President should be fined for not adhering to broadcast decency laws. Arianna Huffington even got in on the act saying, "You want impotence? How about a president who is so paralyzed he doesn't even tell Kofi to make the call."
Here is one world leader chatting with yet another over lunch about what could be done to help mitigate the hostilities in the Middle East, and he's getting nothing but...well...shit...from the Left for even having the conversation in the first place. Know what I say to that?
Big f***ing deal.
