(...but Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?) ;)
The first 45rpm record I remember playing as a kid was a hand-me-down copy of Chicago's "Saturday in the Park". It came from one of my sisters and I think I played that scratched up record until Robert Lamm sounded unrecognizable. I loved the sound of the horns---to me, they spoke like another vocalist.
In the early 1980's, I rediscovered Chicago through the band director at my old high school. I started listening to all the old albums, as well as the new ones and I just grew to appreciate the band's entire catalog.
Now, 39 years since they started playing together (the anniversary is tomorrow) and FIFTEEN years since their last album of original material, Chicago is releasing their thirtieth album. Fans will not be shocked at the name: Chicago XXX.

According to the band's official website, Chicago XXX goes on sale March 21. The new single, "Feel," is available for download now from iTunes. So when I got home from work tonight, I immediately fired up iTunes and spent the $0.99 to download the song. I didn't know what to think at first but the more I listen to the song, the more I like it.
I know that the band and I probably don't agree on political issues, but music is one of those things that transcends politics and arguments. Music speaks to everyone...and theirs has always resonated with me.
