Conservative Blogger: Newkyooler Ambitions...
I awoke this morning--as did we all--to news that North Korea had conducted its first underground test of an atomic weapon. What seemed like an ominous development over my morning coffee, now has me scratching my head. What I thought was a proliferation of what I like to call "The New Cold War," or "Cold War 2.0," now leaves me wondering if it's not something along the lines of "Capricorn One."
Put simply, what if "Yoko Ono" is full of crap?
I'll be the first to tell you that I'm no conspiracy theorist, but...well...c'mon. These are the same people who have never had a successful missile test. I mean, that's something that actually is rocket science! These morons can't make a missile hit its target. They don't even know how to make fireworks...what makes anyone in the world think they've been able to grasp nuclear fission?
Because they said so? Not on your life.
This is a country where millions starve daily because 90% of the country's GDP is put into the military. The North Koreans have proven to the world they're not rocket scientists, figuratively and literally. Are we really to believe they've harnessed the power of the atom??
Sure, I could be wrong. I freely admit that. However, what was the last scientific or technological advancement you've ever heard of to come out of North Korea? Exactly. That's my point.
Another thing..."Yoko Ono" is waiting for the world to congratuate him for their first atomic test?? Is he nuts?? Well, aside from the obvious answer, of course, because he IS truly insane. What the hell kind of world leader begs the world to shower him with congratulations? Folks, he really seems like he's trying too hard and that this is much ado about nothing.
Admittedly, and just like the best minds in North Korea, I know nothing substantive about the technology required to (a) create an atomic weapon or (b) deliver that payload using a missile. I have no expertise here whatsoever. I can tell you, however, that I'm not alone in my skepticism.
Scientists are currently trying to determine whether the underground explosion in North Korea was the result of an atomic test or conventional explosives.
His agency estimated the North Korean blast at around 1 kiloton or less _ equivalent to the explosive force of 1,000 tons of TNT. For a nuclear device, that would be so weak that the French defense minister suggested that "there could have been a failure" with the North Korean reported test.
Clement said it could take days before scientists can declare with certainty whether the explosion was nuclear. And when blasts are very weak, "we could be in a situation where we cannot tell the difference between the two," he said.
(The best part about that quote is that it's from the French defense minister. Like he knows anything about warfare.)
For all we know at the moment, it could have been 1,000 tons of TNT. Think about that for a minute. For all the sabre rattling the North Koreans do, they came up with something that can't even be classified as a one kiloton weapon....maybe. That just doesn't sound right and it definitely doesn't make sense.
I mean, if you're going to send a message, why not test the bomb above ground to send the filthy American capitalist pigs a message? Don't misunderstand---I'm not hoping for mushroom clouds anywhere on the planet. I just think that "Yoko Ono" has a lot to hide. Paranoid and delusional psychopaths tend to be like that, I hear. He is not a trustworthy or rational human being.
Time will surely tell.
